The Journey Of The Dead Man

An excerpt from the full-length video of eight hours. Seen through the desert trip a freight train locomotive leading phosphate from Zin factory in the Negev desert to port of Ashdo .

כשמונה שעות. הנסיעה במדבר נשקפת דרך קטר רכבת משא המובילה מחצבי פוספטים ממפעלי צין בנגב לנמל אשדוד ובחזרה

הרכבת, שאורכה כחצי קילומטר, נוסעת לאט דרך אזורי מדבר שוממים והארץ נראית זרה, גדולה, צחיחה וריקה. בתוך מקצב הנסיעה הרפטטיבי מתערבים נופי טבע בראשיתי עם מעשי ידי אדם בתחום הנפיץ של הכור האטומי בדימונה.

מסעו של המת הוא שמו של אזור שומם בחלקו הדרומי של מדבר ניו מקסיקו אשר שימש בשנת 1942 כשטח ניסוי ל 'פרויקט מנהטן' - הניסוי האמריקאי הראשון בהטלת פצצת האטום.
